Portability Problems

This page last modified on 02 September, 2004

When you click one of the Place Name links, a new window looking about like this should appear (different photo for each Place):

If that's not what happens, then I have a problem.

Your feedback via E-mail to bowlesk@att.net will be appreciated (no advertising please!!). See "Information Needed" below.

Brief Explanation:

Information Needed

  1. A sentence or two describing the problem you are experiencing in trying to use this "slide show". For example:  "On the Macintosh, MS Internet Explorer just opens a blank window when I try to see the photos.".  (This happens to be true on at least some Macintosh systems as of 16 December, 2001. But I'm told that most Macintosh users prefer Netscape - which has no problem with this disc.)

  2. Details that identify what kind of system you are using, mainly:
    1. Operating System version (e.g. Windows98, MacOS-X, ...)
    2. Browser version (e.g. MSIE 5.5, Netscape 4.73, ...). Click the Help menu item, then About, using your browser to get the version code.
    3. Name of your Internet Service Provider (e.g. AOL, ATT.net, Roadrunner,  PacBell DSL, ...).
    4. Size of your display screen measured in pixels (e.g. 1024x768).
    5. JavaScript turned ON??  (Not related to Java, which I leave turned off most of the time for security reasons!!) Right now, the slide-show will not work at all if you don't have JavaScript turned on.
