DIGISONDA

Digisonde is a radar that allows to examine the behavior of the ionosphere via transmission of a HF frequency range —ranging from 1 MHz to 25 MHz— to the ionosphere and then receiving reflected signals from the different layers of the ionosphere —at heights ranging from 100 km to 400 km; and then be processed and obtain parameters such as critical frequency (foF2) and the height of the maximum acquired density (hmF2).
